Nestled in the scenic foothills of Wilkes County, North Carolina, “Banjo’s Retreat” offers a tranquil escape for visitors. The name draws inspiration from our beloved dog, Banjo, who revels in the expansive mountain woodlands and the pristine creek just steps from the front door. During your stay, you might even spot deer, rabbits, and other local wildlife, much like Banjo does! Moreover, this charming two-bedroom cabin is a short drive from historic North Wilkesboro, the picturesque Moravian Falls, numerous ski resorts, Boone, and West Jefferson. And for those traveling with furry friends, we’re pet-friendly!
The Cabin As you approach the property, you’ll meander down a 3/4-mile gravel road, with the calming sounds of a creek accompanying you. This secluded location is truly a nature lover’s paradise. The outdoor space boasts both a charcoal grill and a fire pit for evening gatherings. Inside, the cabin has a cozy downstairs master bedroom, while the loft upstairs, accessible via “drop down” stairs, houses a queen bed and a futon. The living room’s couch can also host an additional guest. The cabin also offers a well-equipped kitchen and a full bathroom for your convenience.
Getting Here The cabin is situated on a private property with a well-maintained road, ensuring ample parking space. Though we frequently use sedan cars without any problems, an all-wheel drive is advisable, especially after rain or snow. Should you have any inquiries about reaching the cabin, feel free to ask.
